This is a floor plan for a day spa that is created for MS patients that would like to have a little relaxation time and have a accessible place to exercise. All in this one floor plan is a residential and commercial facility. This spa is located at the base of a mountain in Montana, surrounded by park like settings , water features, and abundant wild life.
The whole commercial side is accessible for the patients that come in when you first come in the Serene Health and Wellness Spa the first thing you will see is the reception desk and the waiting area, which is extremely spacey and roomy for the wheelchairs. Over to the left of the waiting area is an office for the office keeper to keep up with all the paper work. The 2 massage rooms are located to the right of the waiting area and this is because I wanted the massage area to be surrounded by things that wouldn't be too loud, that way it would be easier for them to relax. Behind the reception desk there is a little hallway that connects the residential and commercial and this is so the residences won't have to go outside to get to the spa they can have an easier access to the spa. If you go past the reception desk down the hall the consolation room is on the left, this is where people will go to discuss their problems and explain important information. After the consultation room to the left is the women bathroom including an accessible locker room, shower, and bathroom. When you exit the women's bathroom across the hall is an enclosed pool and reflection area, this will be a place where people can come and excrise or come to relax and look out the window. When you exist the pool you will see the yoga area all in one corner with storage being up high and on the other side of the wall are two stair masters with a tv mounted on the wall. Also the mens bathroom is right around the corn including a shower, locker room, and bathroom. Lastly the emergency exist to the spa is located on the back wall and is easy to locate. I choose to do my commercial plan this way because I wanted the layout more organized and roomy even though we are not working with a lot of square footage.
For the residential side, it's a open concept layout having the kitchen, dinning, and living room space all open, this worked the best because of the limited space that was available. The guest bathroom or half bathroom is located within the open space as well right off in the right corner. You will also notice a hall off to the right with two doors one leads to the master bedroom and bathroom and the other room is the den/ guest bedroom. Once you enter the master bedroom you will notice a sitting area for you to relax by the window and you will also see a sliding door that will lead to the master bathroom, closet, and walk-in shower. The residence side isn't very big because the spa takes a big amount of the design.
